Electricity

From 2024

Electricity
From 2024, electricity is partially included at pitches. Per night, 5 Kwh is included, all pitches have standard 8 Ampere (ca.1840 Watt) electricity. You can upgrade to 12 amps (approx. 2760 watts) or 16 amps (approx. 3700 watts) at an additional cost.
If you consume more than 5 Kwh per night, you have to pay for the extra Kwh. (€ 0.55 per Kwh). You will receive an email after departure if you have used more.

If you consume less, you are not entitled to a refund.

Arrangement : longer arrangements include 100 kWh, if you use more kwh in this period, you will pay this after the arrangement.

How many watts do my appliances consume?
To estimate which appliances you can use at the same time, you only need to add up the wattages. This will show you which combinations are possible. The wattage will usually be indicated on the appliance, but to give you an idea, here are the wattage ratings for some common appliances:

Small heater: 750 - 1,500 watts
Small coffee maker: 600 - 800 watts
Small oven: 600 - 800 watts
Small fridge: 70 - 80 watts
Lamps: 30 - 40 watts
Television (small): 30 - 40 watts

Note; the above example involves special camping devices that consume less than your household appliances at home.

Additional tips
Take peak power into account.
The biggest pitfall in calculating your power consumption is not taking peak power, or switch-on current, into account. The moment you turn on an appliance, it briefly uses (much) more power than its normal wattage. Sometimes as much as two to three times more. So turn on the biggest power consumers first and switch appliances on in turn!

Hot appliances consume more.
Don't have the wattage of a particular appliance at hand and in doubt whether to turn it on? The rule of thumb is that appliances that get hot consume much more than the others. The stove, oven and coffee maker are at the top of the list for a reason. So perhaps wait a while before making your cup of coffee until the bread rolls out of the oven or turn off the heater first.

More amps
As default you have 8 amps (ca.1840 Watts)
You can upgrade to 12 amps (approx. 2760 watts) or 16 amps (approx. 3700 watts) for an extra charge
Increase to 12 Amp € 5.-- per night (maximum € 50.-- for shorter periods)
Increase to 16 Amp € 10,-- per night (maximum € 100,-- for shorter periods)

For longer arrangements (such as pre-season, springtoppers, small pre-season, September month, June month) there is a package rate for increasing your ampere and you do not pay per night.
You can get more info at reception.

If you go over your limit, the power will switch off and then on again automatically, so you are warned that you are using too much. After several times, the power is permanently switched off and can only be switched on again during reception opening hours. So don't wait for the power to be permanently switched off due to too much consumption. But increase your Ampèrage in time or switch off devices.
Outside reception opening hours, it is not possible to increase your Ampèrage or switch power on after overloading,
